Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, President C. L. Max Nikias, and philanthropist Eli Broad (from left) gathered on Oct. 29, 2010, to dedicate the new Eli and Edythe Broad CIRM Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at USC. The five-story, 87,500-square-foot, green-certified building, located on USC’s Health Sciences Campus, will house an estimated 200 researchers. Eli and Edythe Broad, the building’s namesakes and primary donors, gave $30 million toward its development.
