As most of members of the USC University Park Campus headed out for the roadways and airports for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, students too far from home to make the trip had another option—a gathering at the home of USC President C. L. Max Nikias and Mrs. Nikias.

The tradition began last year as the Nikias’ decided to welcome international students to their home and introduce them to the traditions of this unique American holiday. It then grew to include students from many other parts of the country who couldn’t arrange travel home. This year, hundreds of students out of reach from family gatherings had a chance to enjoy the holiday, celebrate with classmates, and share in a Trojan festivity.
