John Boehner , speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, dropped by Saturday night to greet USC administrators and trustees attending the 2012 USC Trustee Conference in La Quinta, Calif. The conference, which was held March 30 to April 1, included panel presentations titled “Online Education: Beyond the Classroom,” “USC ROTC: Developing the Next Generation of Leaders,” “Everything Old Is New Again: The Importance of Humanities in the 21st Century,” and “USC Cancer Research: From Bench to Bedside,” as well as performances by students and faculty members of the USC Thornton School of Music.
