The 82nd Annual USC Alumni Awards, hosted by the USC Alumni Association in downtown Los Angeles, honored nine outstanding Trojans.

In his welcoming remarks, Associate Senior Vice President for Alumni Relations Patrick E. Auerbach EdD ’08 praised this year’s honorees, “whose achievements and service demonstrate how USC enriches our lives intellectually, culturally, professionally and socially.”

The Asa V. Call Alumni Achievement Award, the university’s highest alumni honor, went to USC Trustee Mark Stevens ’81, MS ’84, a top-ranked Silicon Valley venture capitalist and longtime university benefactor. In March, Stevens and his wife, Mary, donated $50 million to endow and name the USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute.

Presenting the award to Stevens, USC President C. L. Max Nikias lauded the achievements and contributions of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering alumnus.
