President C. L. Max Nikias just returned from Laguna Beach, CA, where he hosted a roundtable discussion at Wall Street Journal’s prestigious technology conference, WSJ.D Live. President Nikias spoke to delegates about the role universities play in teaching and promoting innovation, and gave a number of examples of where USC is leading in this area, including programs like the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy, USC Games and the soon-to-be-launched MSc in Integrated Design, Business and Technology.

Other speakers at the conference included Saleforce.com chairman and CEO Marc Benioff, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Sony president and CEO Kazuo Hirai, CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves and Admiral Michael Rogers, commander of U.S. cyber command and director of NSA.
