USC president C. L. Max Nikias joined several USC trustees and administrators in a series of high-level meetings with members of Congress and the Obama administration on March 6, 2012. The purpose of the D.C. trip was to advocate for increased federal student aid and support for faculty research in the current fiscal climate.
