On Oct. 16, 2012, President Nikias officially welcomed Andrew McMahon to the Trojan Family. Chair of the university’s newly created Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, and director of the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at USC, McMahon comes to USC from Harvard University, where he was one of the founding faculty members of the renowned Harvard Stem Cell Institute.
